how many married ladies had alcohol at the reception?

I swear i won't drink, but I can't be sure.

Did any married ladies have a drink or 2?

If so, did you feel ok, and did it help you relax?

I was never without a glass of champagne, and I didn't feel a thing (until it was over, then I had to pee like a racehorse).

Note well - the Miller Place Inn gives you ALL of your entrees (I had the chicken, the fish, and the beef). Plus, I went to the cocktail hour and actually ate that food too. Then there was the Viennese. I couldn't have crammed in enough beverage to get drunk around all the proteins I ate.

I always had a glass of champagne in my hand, but I was basically dancing my @ss off all night so it wasn't like I was standing there drinking it. I took swigs every now and again but I was so busy dancing and socializing that I didn't have time to get drunk, even if I wanted to.

I had some champagne and water..nothing to get my buzzed or drunk - the day went by like a blur and I didn't want it to be more blurry

i did not, no.

i had taken a two xanax to get through the whole 'day'....(i have a severe attention issue). If i had drank anything - i would've had all the photos taken of me face down on the table!

ETA: i normally don't drink. The last time i had alcohol was at my bachelorette party and before that - probably 2 years had past since i any had alcohol at all.

I guess I should definitely make time to eat!

The natural high is what I am hooping for.....but Iknow a glass of wine really relaxes me. I am just very anxious around crowds, I fear that on this very special day. Booze makes me ten foot tall and bullet proof! hoooo haw

I admire a woman who can celebrate with champagne, it give me a headache and causes bad hangovers.....my biggest problem is I LOVE bourbon!

the attention this is a burden for me too....alcohol usually helps, but once I drink I keep on drinking.

thanks for taking time to answer!!

None of the choices really fit for me, but I will tell you how it went--I was planning to drink but not a ton, I figured a few drinks would be fine :) I knew I did NOT want to drink until after the ceremony, b/c whenever I drink in the morning (i.e. mimosas) I get a hangover by the afternoon (if I stop drinking for a few hours) and I really didn't want that!

The first alcohol I had was champagne in the limo after the ceremony with the whole BP--I had 2 cups worth I guess

Once we got to HWC our bridal attendant got drinks for everyone but I was SO hot (it was like 90 something degrees out) that I just wanted water--DH and the boys all got beers or drinks, girls all had water. I kept with that during pictures, we got to the cocktail hour and my bridal attendant asked me if I wanted to switch over to alcohol but I didn't know what I wanted, so I went and hung out with my friends who also tried to get me drinks....one got me one of our signature drinks (something blue) but it was in a martini glass and I was like hell no, not near my white dress! haha....by the end of the cocktail hour I got a vodka sprite (clear), and I probably had 3 of those tops during the entire wedding--also my champagne from the champagne toast. DH was drinking whisky and coke I think, but he can hold it.

hah wow that was really long, point was I didn't really drink much at all, and I was totally fine--I only had to pee once hahaha....

i started drinking at 5 am... stopped at 5 am the next day.. yes 24 hours of drinking.. i remember everything and no real buzz haha.. my awsome DOCs kept the water alternating with the beer..they also made me eat... so eating and alternating with water kept me sane
