how many married ladies had alcohol at the reception?

I swear i won't drink, but I can't be sure.

Did any married ladies have a drink or 2?

If so, did you feel ok, and did it help you relax?

IMO- there's nothing tackier than a drunk bride! I had a few sips of a watermelon martini and other than that it was cokes for me all night long.

i have to agree. you work and plan so hard for months/years for this day. falling all over yourself drunk and not remembering anything would not be the way to go.

I'm not saying you would do this - but as many people like to say they will have time to eat during their day - eating is not the easiest thing to do. If you are drinking that much and don't have the chance to eat as much as you should...you could wind up in a position you'll regret.

BELIEVE me - i know that feeling. I just don't drink overall and EVERYONE mocks me when we go out. It's like, let me enjoy my Coke and have a nice day.

I was LITERALLY forced to have a drink at Dave's best friends' wedding. He told me that he would be hurt if i didn't have one drink with him & that i should do it out of respect for him...whatever. I did it, and now he has told me that his fave pic from the wedding was me & him toasting with a white russian.

I have no idea why people care so much about what we do or do not drink.

just a little champagne--i actually wasn't feeling so hot at the reception, I kinda felt dizzy so I just stuck with chugging water for the most part...oh, and a raspberry martini because I couldn't resist!

I drank and had a blast and remember MOSt. Of my reception. As long as you dont go nuts and arent falling on your face wasted why not is my opinion.

I had champagne, and about 3 sips of some wine, but that was it. There wasn't time to drink a full glass!

I had a few drinks and champagne but I was too busy getting down on the dance floor and going around to people to really sit and drink.

I had shots, beers, and champagne. I can handle my liquor really well and I think my nerves stopped me from getting trashed cause by the time reception was over I was completely sober.
