I think about 15 miles. I commute on the LIRR and door to door, my commute is 50 minutes.

I work in Queens and i live in Hauppauge.. I think about 30 miles one way? I will look tomorrow. But on a good day it takes 45 mins. that is at 5 am!! On a bad day (anything after 5 pm) it is about 1 1/2 hours

I don't know the mileage (Kings Park --> Stony Brook) but it takes me about 20 minutes to drive there.

Centereach to Old Westbury by car via the LIE.....not sure on the mileage but one hour...45 minutes on a good day.

It's only 5 miles door to door, all side streets. I drive and it takes about 8 minutes!

1/2 mile and I usually get a ride or can walk or catch a bus & get half way there.

I work about 5 miles from home.... I live in Jersey City and work in Midtown (43rd & Madison)
I take the path train and 2 subways, so door to door it takes me about 45 minutes....
DH drives about 10-15 miles and it takes him 20 minutes AT THE MOST!

I worked about 1.5 miles from work for 3 1/2 years! For those of you who are spoiled....savor it and don't take it for granted. It may just be youI'm cursing at on the LIE one day...lol.....

Just wondering because I've always taken a train to work and now considering a job that I would have to drive to that's almost 30 miles away - each way!
