How many months before

will you begin the search for your wedding dress. I was thinking a year before. I was wondering what everyone else thought.

They say you should order 6-9 months before so 1 year gives you awhile to find it. I am going to a trunk show today just to see the dress on me finally. I'm probably having a replica made instead. I can't see myself spending 5K on a dress.

I started the search about 13 months before. I wasn't sure how long it would take me to find something that I loved so I wanted to leave a little bit more than a year. As it turned out the dress I chose could take up to 10 months to come in so I was glad I had a cushion of time.

I went in with no intentions on buying a dress last week, and surprise I bought one I would say 12-14 months prior is a good time.

I think I may also have found my dress!!!! I just started looking for fun with my mom one day and fell in love with this one dress by Jasmine, so I might just order that one

I will start looking in about two months and hopefully order it around 10-12 months before, just to be safe!!!

i'm going to start looking in february... because it takes between 6-12 months to get it..

I put the deposit on mine. I will wait until April for them to order it.

I would say about one year before, although I already ordered mine, I fell in love with it, and I also had no intentions of buying it so early.

1 yr before... I'll start looking in March/April...hopefully will order it sometime in May. I'm someone who needs to look at a million things to justify my decision even if deep down inside I know I found it.
