how many of you...

are making your bridesmaids get their hair done professionally? i asked on BHB also but i thought i would ask here too

I'm pushing for it...I think one wont, she insists she can do her hair herself...and I dont want to waste the time fighting over it really...I'm letting them wear it however they want so we shall see how it ends up?!?!

I'm not making anyone get it done professionally but I am pretty sure most of them will get it done. :)

If someone has really short hair, it doesn't pay to pay someone to do there hair. You could say that you prefer to have the hair done. You want the hair to look good for pics. You could say to them that they could have the hair all down, 1/2 up and 1/2 down or all up.

Not sure.. I'd want them to atleast have a dressy hairdo, but I am sure most will get it done without me asking

thanks, I wasn't going to have my girls do their hair professionally. I just wanted to see if that was normal

If my friends don't get their hair done professionally they will look like they are going to a bar to pick up men. I love them all to death but I know what we used to do in my single days to go to weddings and heck no, I am putting my foot down. I may sound like bridezilla but I have hair color regulations too...no purples, oranges or bright reds...just blonde, brown, etc.

I have already told them and so far no objections. It helps that they are my 4 sisters and 1 best friend.

To hopefully make my life and theirs simpler I am hosting a luncheon and giving each of them a book called the 'Bridesmaid guide'

Basically its a book that tells them how to make me happy and keeps them sane. It also gives them tips on how to be 'fabulous' at the job. It is a fun and light hearted book. I know I thought it was corny at first but read the book its great reading. I think everyone will enjoy it

I'm asking them all to wear their hair up-whether they get it professionally done or not is up to them!

One has super duper curly hair and does a great job doing it herself, the others are my two sisters, with stick straight hair.

They will have to deal with me telling them to get it prof done. I'm sure they won't mind though. At least I don't think...

My bridesmaids and I are all having our hair and make-up done professionally at my house the morning of my wedding. It will be a little expensive, but I wanted to treat them.

I wouldn't insist on it. I think most people choose to. I have also thought about paying for it as part of their gift.

I would ask that they get it done, just so the bridesmaids look consistent with each other.

I am. I don't like the idea of one looking all glamed up and another looking like she just came out of the shower. I've seen it happen.
