How many of you...

were planning before the engagement? I am and I find it odd at times... FH is really into it and so I cant say 'Lets wait till I have the ring on the finger' (because I had already but thats a long story)

But, was/is anyone else REALLY beginning to plan before engagement? I feel like it will make things easier once it comes...

I had a million ideas (that I should have written down! ). I wanted sooooooooooooo many different things.... the ring really makes you calm down about planning though. Before I wanted bells and whistles and fireworks and everything humanly possible and now I'm just happy to be getting married, I dont need too many fancy things!

speakin of fireworks... i originally wanted a 4th of july wedding and it had tro be at a place where fireworks could be seen from... nice idea... but severely limits where i could have looked

Oh my god! Me too! I think it falls on a weekend in 2009 too!

FH and I talked about it a lot before it happened.. so I knew it was coming soon.. and we had been to MANY weddings recently and were kind of saying.. 'Yes we like this, no we don't like this' so we had the list narrowed down... and started looking and researching last weekend right after getting engaged..

I was on this website all the time before I got engaged and even got the wedding planning book and put all the vendors and information that I wanted in the book but, I didnt go visit any places

I've been researching for years b/c my mom studied to be a wedding planner so we had all sorts of information in my house. Her best friend is also the VP at Kleinfelds so weddings have always been a topic of conversation. Since I met FH we always talked about getting married - sometimes you just know but those were just ideas. Now its much more serious and less joking around of course

Weve been planning for a while because he kind of popped the question previously.. not really though.. just with a 'promise' ring (at the time I was set on never getting married... i didnt wantt to get hurt) and so he was taking things slow...
Then one day he turned around and said 'Who is going to be in our wedding party' and things have taken up speed from there!!
