knew your engagement was coming sometime soon, and how many were completely blindsided?
Like, my FH and I had been talking about marriage for a couple of years by the time he proposed and while the moment he asked was a surprise, I knew it was coming in the near future because we had planned a general timeline of how we wanted everything to work in relation to school and career and stuff.
But some of you had to have a completely impulsive, never really talked about it before proposal, right?

i had actually given up the hope that i was getting engaged after months and months of pestering...it was literally a few days before i got engaged that i said to a friend 'that's it, i'm not even going to think about it anymore, it's not coming so there's no need to sit here and worry about it'
welllll a couple days later i was engaged lol. funny how that happens

I had started to give up hope. We picked out the ring a year earlier, so I wasn't expecting it anymore. then his good friend got engaged and when I told FH, he goes, 'Thats Cute!' Well, long story short he had told his friend his plan to propose that weekend so when he stole his thunder he was very upset! Anyhow he did it the next morning in bed because he was tired of waiting for the perfect moment. It ended up being super cute and romantic anyhow!!!

FH's lease was up on New Years Eve, so I knew it was happening before then. I actually got a little crazy over it. Think Kate Hudson in Bride Wars lol

We also talked about pur future plus we went to upstate for the weekend to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and St. Valentine's day. I kinda suspected but didn't even wanna think about it, just because in case it didn't happen, I didn't wanna feel sad and ruin the rest of the trip
