We did not do bouquet/garter toss.
We're not Jewish.
We did do the cake cutting, but we didn't really call attention to it.
We did announce the BP and us to Bruce Springsteen's 'Tenth Avenue Freeze Out' and it went over grandly.

Boosh, boy would my FH love you being a wrestling buff, he LOVES that like a little child. I will watch it from time to time, I think it is great you guys are coming into those entrance themes!! Too cute!

No bouquet toss (I agree with the girls with a 10 year nephew and one of my friends, eeesh)

No garter either (agree with Michele on that too)

Definitely cake cutting and yes to the entrance!

Chair Lift no since I am catholic but that looks scary! Imagine someone being drunk lifting, LOOK OUT!

Yes to the cake cutting cutting ceremony and bridal party entrance. We are not doing the garter belt- but we are doing a different version of the bouquet toss. My DJ suggested that I throw the bouquet on the steps of the church. He said it was how they used to do it back in the old days and it would make a great photo opportunity. My wedding party is following the black and white theme so I think it would be perfect (as long as it doesn't rain!)

We are doing the cake cutting and the anniversary dance. We are not doing the garter and bouquet. The bouquet will be given to the couple married the longest from the anniversary dance as well as a bottle of champagne.

Bouquet Toss: No. After 3 weddings in which I was literally humiliated and dragged on the dance floor only to be 1 of 2 or 3 single women in the room (including an 8 year old girl who caught it), I will not do this to any of my quests. I hate the way it's handled every time.

Garter Removal: No, there will be a priest in attendance, Fi doesn't want to have the guilt. LOL.

Cake Cutting: Yes, to the Beatles 'When I'm 64'...this is just too cute.

Chair Lift: Yes! During the Hora (We are having an interfaith wedding).

Annoucing the Bridal Party: Yes, not sure to what song yet, but we think they deserve the acclaim!

Cake cutting - yes, but I will not ask everyone to take their seats. We will have the DJ announce that the bride and groom will now be cutting the cake...

BP announcement: yes - but haven't chosen a song yet

Chair lift - yes! Can't wait, and am nervous about it, all at the same time.

Another little thing we're doing at the reception is a Jewish tradition called the Mizinka (spelling?). I am the last of my mom's children to be married, so we present her with a crown of flowers, and me, FH, my brother and SIL dance around her, then ask everyone to join in. It's a special moment for my mom, and she doesn't know I'm planning on doing it.

Bouquet Toss..NO..... We did the Anniversary Dance as well. My aunt/uncle were the longest married couple...50 years. After that I gave the bouquet to my aunt, and the garter to my uncle. Then my uncle had to put the garter on my aunt. EVERYONE LOVED IT!!!!

Bouquet: No - I dedicated it to my MOH (my sis) and said a few words to thank our bridal party for their help

Cake Cutting: We just cute the cake - the band made an announcement and played 'How Sweet it is' by James Taylor. We did not feed each other!!

Announcement: Yes - each bridal party member by their first names, along with our parents. We got introduced as Mr. and Mrs. It really wasn't to a song, just background music by our band.

Diane-I love the idea of giving the garter for the anniversary dance too!! I think I might use that! I have a few sets of great aunts & uncles-I'm not sure who will win!

Bouqet Toss....Nope.....not too many single friends or family left and I wouldn't want to make the few left feel awkward.

Garter.....nope.....same reason as above and I'd be too embarrassed anyway.

Chairs.....Catholic......does not apply

Entrance of Bridal Party.....Still up in the air....FI does not want the big, splashy, 'sports team' announcement like some DJs do. He'd like something a little more subdued. Still working on that.
