I am walking with both, and my FH doesnt really like the idea.
Both of my older sisters walked with both my parents so I feel like thats what i should do and I want to walk with both also, but......I just wanted to hear other ppls thoughts..

if your sisters did it.. then you should too!! i think its a great idea to include your mom!!
as for me,, i am probably just walking with my dad.. my reasoning for that is because my FH has lost both his parents and i dont want to draw too much attn to both my parents.. im just doing it traditionally.

My DH walke with both his parents but he thought I shouldnt because my dad might feel like 'less of a man' which i reluctantly agreed to. In my album layout are pics of Dh with his parents.

Re: How many of you are walking
I was planning to walk with both parents. They both raised me & I wanted to have them both with me in the special moment right before I headed down the aisle. Unfortunately, my mom fell & broke her pelvis less than 2 months before our wedding. She just wasn't sure she'd be able to comfortably walk the whole way,
What I ended up doing is walking with my father up to the first pew where my mother was sitting. She then took my other arm & walked the last couple of feet with us to the alter so this way both of my parents gave me away.

I am walking down with my mom & my step-father. I could not imagine not being walked down the aisle without my mom,…she is the one who raised me and made me the person I am today. FH knows this and doesn’t mind…..he said it was my choice.

Re: How many of you are walking
I have two dads (real dad and stepdad) and although I REALLY wanted my mom to walk me down the aisle since she's the one who really has sacrificed and raised us, I didn't want to disrespect my dads who I love.
Soooo, I had my two dads walk me down the aisle and danced with my mom at the reception. It worked out perfectly.

Re: How many of you are walking
I walked with only my dad. I offered to my mother to walk with us but she refused. She said it was my father's honor and she didn't want to take that away from him.

Re: How many of you are walking
I walked down the aisle with both my parents and so did my husband.
We're both Jewish, so both fh and I will walk down the aisle with our parents. Even if it wasn't tradition, I'd still do it that way!

Re: How many of you are walking
I'd give anything to walk down the aisle with both my parents. Unfortunately, I cannot, my father passed away, so I will be walking with my mom. FH's mom passed away, he will be walking with his dad. Wow, I never put that down in writing before!

Edit: I just realized that I posted on the '07 boards, thought I was on BHB, sorry for crashing!

Re: How many of you are walking
I am walking with my dad and step dad. My dad was a little upset by this at first, but my parents divorced when I was 5 and my mom married my step dad when I was 10. He was around all the time before that too. I would feel wrong not including him like that. I am also dancing with both of them to two separate songs.

Re: How many of you are walking
Jewish tradition dictates that you walk down the aisle with both parents (both the bride and the groom are supposed to - I did, FH walked alone - we're interfaith so we each chose what felt right)
I'm really glad I did - it feels so sexist to me to have only parent if you are equally close with both - after all, my dad isn't 'giving me away' in exchange for a few goats - both parents are walking me down the aisle to support me in my new marriage - why shouldn't both get to do that?
