I dont know if I want to do one. I might just put a picture of me and my FH on the top in a nice picture-frame.

Putting a picture of you 2 on top is a nice idea. I think I am going to put flowers on top, since the topper I want is almost $500.

we may do the 'WE DO' letters for the cake table. but they will go in front of the cake, not on top. but i like the 'ball & chain' toppers i have seen.

You don't NEED one, but it is something you cna treasure and keep forever!
ETA: there are also SO many out there that you may be able to find one to suit your personality and there are always customizable ones!

Sometimes the catering halls have one..I guess you don't take it home though!
I just think its a nice momento!
I really like the Precious Moments one...or maybe some kinds of Irish Wedding topper (my FI and I are both part Irish)

the ONLY cake topper i remember was that of Marge and Homer (and they weren't even on top of the cake). i can't even tell you what my own sisters had as cake toppers, they are insignificant to most guests. don't get me wrong, they are nice but definitely not worth spending a great deal of money on, unless of course, you want it :)
