How many of you met your FH online?

I am trying to get a single lady I work with to join on online dating site but she is so against it. I think If I get an 'official' list together of who met their soon to be hubbies online... She just might take a leap for it!!!

We met on match.com a year and half ago.

I needed A LOT of encouragment from my friends and in protest, finally signed up for Match.com. I met the man of my dreams after only being on Match for three days. It worked for me

i did i did! i felt the same way as your co-worker...i signed up as a joke...and now look at me, the love of my life almost 2 years later...gonna do the hitchin' in '07!...oh and we met on american singles

ME!!!!!!!!!!! I met Vinny on Match.com (we realized after we started talking that we had met through an ex of mine that he was friends with in middle school!!!! like a year and a half before we met on Match but had no idea)... so was that fate or what?! but we MET on Match.com officially and began dating...

ETA: I would have never met Vinny if it wasn't for match-- we were introduced by an ex in passing and he was the love of my life and he just walked right in and out of my life-- but he was brought back and stayed for good by match. i owe everything i enjoy today to that site!!

AHH!!! it was two days for me

CONGRATS!!!

and... tell your friend at work to go for it!! what does she have to lose?! you don't know these men from a hole in the wall whether you meet them in person at a bar/club or whether you do online-- you need to get to know them either way. at least with this, you get a profile-- i wish men wore profiles on their shirts in clubs LOL!!!

ETA: Laurie, there are a TON of brides on 06 and some that are already married that met their FH's or DH's online-- do a search for threads like this, b/c I posted on one once before and it was amazing how many of us there are out there!!

I met my FH online too, but not thru an online dating service. We both happened to be in the same chatroom one night (italian hotties to be exact ) he im'ed me, we started talking everyday, a few weeks later we met and the rest is history

i did! well not match....but i was on aol..and was bored bc i was at my friends house making dinner...and went in an LI chat room...just sat in there reading what ppl were saying. I walked away and when i came back there was a msg from him goin on and on...
so i started talking to him...and we got along great. Bad thing was he was in and out of a 4 yr relationship..at that time it just ended again! So i was dishing advice. After a few weeks we talked on the phone and i started to feel something towards him! So I than took advantage of the fact that he took my advice on how to handle his EX...so i got him to see that she was just a nut job! hahaha...worked it so i looked like the better choice. He wanted to meet but i kept saying yes and than backed out. Well stupid me had a few drinks at my sisters e-party and ended up calling him and told him to come by. Well he did..and we've been together ever since!!

I did not mean my Fh online I actually knew him for a few years b4 we started dating but we always say 'God Bless the internet' becaue it was a conversation that we were having while on AOL that uncovered the sparks that we both had!!!

I met my DH on JDate. We met in person on 1/4/04 and got engaged 2/12/05 and married 11/13/05!

The funny thing was that I went on Match a few months earlier without a profile just searching and went through well over 100 guy's profiles and only was interested in three. FH happened to be one of the three!!! He ended up emailing me on Match when I did sign up a few months later. I saw his pic and realized he looked familiar and went into my saved items and there was his profile!!! What ar the chances???

I did. 4 and 1/2 years ago. I was doing a search for guys nearby in aol. Found my fh and started asking him questions about some guy i just started seeing. Things weren't going great with the other guy so I decided to meet fh to be friends. sparks flew immediately after meeting. and that is history.

I met FH on match.com almost 2 years ago. It took a lot of prodding from my friends to get me on there, but it was the best decision I've ever made!

Tell your co-worker to get over herself and do it!!!

we met in an AOL chat room nine years ago....he claims I im'd him first....but I know the truth...so he im'd me first.... i wasnt even supposed to be in that chat room b/c I was 19 at the time and the chatroom was for 21 and over (he was 25).....oh well.....but the funny thing is that he knows my cousins when they were younger...so he wasnt a COMPLETE stranger......now we're engaged
