I am trying to get a single lady I work with to join on online dating site but she is so against it. I think If I get an 'official' list together of who met their soon to be hubbies online... She just might take a leap for it!!! Help me out...

I did not meet my FH online but know a few married couples who met online. I believe jdate is very successful.
One of my friends was going to sign up for match.com but was afraid people we know would see her.

Me too! I met my FH on catholicsingles.com. we emailed back and forth for over a month and officially met on 7/7/05, got engaged on 12/3/05 and getting married 2/17/07. when you know, you know!!!

I've heard some good things about online dating. People try to sigmatize it as lame/corny. But if you can meet a guy in a bar/club or where ever why not in cyberspace? There is no set destination to find the love of your life.
Congrats to you ladies on finding love and proving critics wrong. Online dating does work

I did. I starting chatting with him online about 8 1/2 years ago. My friend knew him thru one of her friends. We would chat for hours. It took a couple of months to meet. We were 14 & 15 years old. We only met that one time. Then we lost touch. Months later he beeped me. (yes the beeper days) and said we have to get together. And from then on 7-10-98 we've been together!
