How many pages are going to be in your wedding album ???
I am curious to know how many pages are going to be in your wedding album.
I am almost finished designing my wedding album... and I will probably have 45 pages! Maybe even closer to 50 pages if I add a few more pictures. This book is going to be HUGE and heavy. I am designing an 8x12 album.
Also... how many pages are going in your parent albums? Are they the same as your album... or less.
I decided to give the parents the same exact album we are getting (all 45 pages worth - and 8x12 just like mine).

As of right now I think we are slated to have about 24 pages. Many of the photographers we visited actually go by # of photos, not page count.

We negotiated for 50 pages in our album 10x12 and 30 in each parent album 6x8

We have a the traditional style album & it is 44 pages & very heavy.
Our parents' albums are 16 pages & 5x7. I didn't get them the same as us, b/c they dont' really need pictures of each others relatives..
They also both liked haveing the opportunity to pick out their own pictures for the album.

My wife mentioned that i should consider doing this. But I know its going to lead to a much smaller album for them.
My album will be about 45 pages... and probably contain somewhere between 100-150 pictures!
As much as they may enjoy picking out pictures which would lead to them getting a smaller album... I think they will enjoy getting the same exact royal album that i'll be getting that will have everything.
The 'shock value' of getting something so large and pretty must carry some weight.

I wound up with only needing 32 pages, but we had contracted for 40.

I'm not sure yet, all I know is we have 75 pictures in our album, and I think 26 in our parent's albums.

Ok... just figured it out.
It looks like I am going to have 46 pages in my album... with a total of 172 pictures!

we are getting 50 images...we design it along with our photographer as to how many pics per page, pic size, ect. we are also getting the cd with all our proofs in high res so we can print out and do what we want with them, so we opted for a smaller album. ~lacey

I actually haven't decided how I want to handle this yet. There are a couple of things I am considering though.
Once I figure it out... I am going to let everyone know. I will most likely post pictures when I am done.

We had 48 pages with about 80 pictures in our album. it's a square album, not sure of the measurements...
For the parents, we let them pick out 20 pictures for parent albums....my parents chose 24, of course. We got them smaller albums that they could slip the pictures into the pages.
I don't know if it's necessary to give the parents the same exact album as your's though....doens't that make your's a little less special since it's not the only one around?
