How many pages are going to be in your wedding album ???

I am curious to know how many pages are going to be in your wedding album.

I am almost finished designing my wedding album... and I will probably have 45 pages! Maybe even closer to 50 pages if I add a few more pictures. This book is going to be HUGE and heavy. I am designing an 8x12 album.

Also... how many pages are going in your parent albums? Are they the same as your album... or less.

I decided to give the parents the same exact album we are getting (all 45 pages worth - and 8x12 just like mine).

I don't know if it's necessary to give the parents the same exact album as your's though....doens't that make your's a little less special since it's not the only one around?

Nah. My parents are very special people and really helped out financially with the wedding. (more than I could have ever hoped) DW's mom did pretty well herself.

I decided not to get them a 'thank you' gift at the wedding like a lot of people do knowing I was going to do the albums for them. So I want to reward them with a really nice album.

Plus... I am actually really proud of how this album I am doing is coming out... I want them to enjoy it as much as I will.

I want to come over with the album and show them the album thinking with them thinking its mine... but I am going to say its for them.

Plus... who knows... I may change my view.

Right now I have every intention of doing all our albums in 8x12. I am going to do my mom's album first. When I get the actual product... I will then decide if 8x12 is big enough for me and Vanessa.

If I feel like being a size queen... and want 'our album' to be a little different... i'll get the same album for us in 10x15.

I see hwat you're saying! I guess since you're making it yourself, it is sweet to make them an replica of your album as well!

We gave the parent albums as the thank you gifts as well......those puppies were expensive!!!!

Yeah... doing the albums myself will allow me to save major $$$$ in the end. But I already know upgrading an 8x12 album to 10x15 and keeping all the same page photo layout will almost double the price of the album cause the prints are a lot more money at that larger 10x15 size.

I have a feeling we will just stick with 8x12 size though. The last page of each parent album will be a little different... and will have a custom 'thank you message' directed for that particular 'parent/family'. A little personal touch never hurts.

definitely! we are gonna have a small album made for us (50 images) with digital effects and such, its gonna be nice. BUT we also requested the copy of our pics on a cd with high res so we can print out whatever we want for much much less that the studio charges (although the cd is costing us $300, ouch). so with the cd pics we are gonna make our own parent albums, prob a photobook through kodaks website or something similar. ~lacey
