Hi all - I don't have a lot of close friends (most are in my wedding party - 5 people), so who all do I invite to my shower? What is the average size of a shower?

my shower is about 40 people, and the list includes, all of our aunts (mine & FI), grandmothers, cousins, and my friends. THe majority of my guests are family.

for my best friend's shower, we invited her friends, her and her fh's moms, aunts, cousins, and their grandmothers. about 30 people.
one of my co-workers also invited all the women in our dept. and some of her close guy friends' at work wives.

The women in both of your immediate families, both of your closest female friends, and anyone else who wants to share in the day with you!! Pretty much, the women who are being invited to the wedding.

Mine was all of the women invited to the wedding...but the shower was on a Sat and alot of them had to work, so it ended up being about 25 or so people there. It was the perfect size...and so much fun.

I wanted a small shower, so I didn't invite a lot of the women who are invited to the wedding. It is just our immediate families and my bridal party. Invite was about 28 and I think about 23 will come. That was a personal preference though...some people have a ton of people at their showers.

I had close family and friends at my shower which was about 65 people.

ive just gone to three bridal showers and there were about 50-60 at each and another shower i am going to has about 100 invited!!!!!

I invited all the women that were invited to the wedding...
But I have a lot of out of town guests and the weather was horrible so about 50 people showed up...

Same here. I wanted a very small shower. I think about 30 are invited. I'm only having a MOH so the list consisted of only family and a couple of close friends (I didn't even invite my co-workers).

I am just inviting my close friends and family, and my mom and FMIL's close friends and family. Inviting about 50..expecting about 40 at the shower.
