How many people are....

Giving out Invitations for the rehearsal dinner?
I wasn't sure if I need to do this or not.

Also, how many people are doing menus for the table. If you are doing Menus are you doing them for everyone at the table?

I'm sending out rehearsal dinner invites because we're inviting close family and OOT guests as well as the BP.

I'm not doing menus, I've never been to a wedding where anyone has had them.

I'm sending out RD invitations bc then everything will be written out as far as the when & where. I find it helpful and more error-proof than word of mouth.

I'm also doing menus bc as a guest I like to think about what I want to eat w/out having the waiter standing over me waiting for my answer.

Those are my personal feelings, but everyone should do what makes them happy!

I am doing RD invites for a few reasons. First, we are actually having a rehearsal, and everyone needs to know when and where without question. Second, half the BP is coming from OOT. They need to know when to be in NY (although I already asked everyone before selecting the date). Third, who wants confusion? I don't want someone calling my cell phone at 4 PM asking me what time they need to be at rehearsal while the rest of us are standing around waiting for that one person.

As for menus, do you mean at the reception, or at the RD? I'm doing them for the reception, but I think I'm doing a buffet for RD, so there is no need.

I dont think we are doing menus at the tables, FH does not like that look.
But for the RD, I want to do invitations even if I have to do them myself.

You can always just print out a inviation on the computer just stating date,time & locations...
& add some pretty pics to it.

i am going to make invites, prob with photoshop or something. actually, i am going to have my fi be in charge of this project! i think i'll have him make menus as well, prob not 1pp but maybe 1 propped up every few seats. i dont like the idea of having to pick what you want on the spot either. ~Lacey
