I'm just curious..it seems people have really different ideas about it...example- I thought it was just female relatives and closest friends and my FMIL things EVERY female invited to the wedding should be invited....
Also, did anyone have multiple showers?
I think 60 are invited to my shower and i'm having one (i think) lol

My mom is inviting every female on the list (which will be hard since the guest list is an excel file made out to Mr & Mrs ___ in most cases) but I'd really just rather have close friends and family there. My bridal shower has been a war. My mother insists on running it and making it a surprise but I'd really like some say in it. My BMs are trying so hard to help but she's very stubborn. I think it'll be around 60 people also.

I invited only close female friends and relatives, certainly not all females who were invited to the wedding. In total, there were 26 of us at the shower.

I know my mom has invited 75-80 people for my upcoming shower. But that is only the close family and friends! ( I have a big family)

I always thought it was really only close family and close friends. If I get thrown one, which I hope I don't lol I only expect 30 or so people.

I invited every female invited to the wedding but it was only 32 people. A lot of my friends are male and a lot of the people my mom invited are males or males that are married but I didn't include their wives bc I've never met them.

I think around 40 will be invited, which is hairy, because that's the minimum we have for the room. My mother wanted to invite all females invited to the wedding, but I didn't feel comfortable with that because some are wives/gfs of FH's coworkers, who I've met either once, twice, or never. Plus, we have a B and C list, and at the time of my shower just won't know if those people are going to end up being invited, so clearly can't invite them to the shower.
