My daughter got married in Nov. and we're selecting pictures for our albums. Their album is supposed to have 100 pictures. They went thru them the first time and chose 213!! They're now trying to narrow it down some more. The pictures all came out so beautiful, it 's so hard to narrow it down. Originally the parent albums were supposed to have 24 pictures. I increased mine (mother of the bride) to 50, but ended up choosing 75. I figured I'll just pay the extra $ . My daughter & son in law just finished and can't get down past 187. They just don't want to eliminate any more. How did you girls do it?

i just kept looking & relooking thru the proofs and using little tags to keep the ones i really liked and made DH pick his favs....but i also got the minimum because i figured i would just eventually make photobooks online instead where i would digitally lay out all the pics (alot cheaper than photographers albums)...i honestly don't take out my album because i don't want it to get messed up...i put my favorite 400 or so proofs in a photo album.

We have about 500 pics and onlyh 50 for our album!! We have not done our album design yet but I did narrow dowo to 50 (took forever!) But i plan on using all of our proofs that we love and making an album on our own.

My brother took our pics and then burned them to a cd so we have all 835 pictures from the wedding and dinner reception. I have 2 albums so far. 1 from our wedding and honeymoon and all of those pictures are in a Mackinac Island album since we were marrie dthere. The 2nd is a wedding scrapbook from Hallmark. For me that's enough because my favorites are up on the wall in our house

Ahh! I feel your (and you daughter;s pain)!!! I just met with the album designer this weekend. Over the last few months we narrowed down from 1300 pics to about 300, then kept taking more and more out each time, knowing that I can create my own album online. We went to the photog with about 115, and were supposed to get 76 in the album. The designer was awesome and helped us narrow down to 86, so we paid for just 10 extra. She gave really good reasons why we didnt need some pics, and I didn't feel bad taking any of them out. I would suggest to your duaghter to continue to try to narrow down in separate sittings (bc it's so overwhelming), but use the designer to really help at the end. I can't wait to see my album layout, and I can honestly say that I don't regret taking so many out of the 'keeper' pile. Does she get to keep all of the pics? If so, remind her that she can make an awesome album of her own! Good luck PS, my mom added too, like you!!
