How many places are you registering?

I don't think it is selfish. I mean right now my MAIN registry is BBB and then I have my Williams-Sonoma for the specialty items.

that is such an excellent point! i have a main registry and another one with more 'fun' items, like my electric skillet (vs. my iron) and cheese spreaders (vs. hostess set)

I don't think its selfish at all. We registered at 4 different places to accomodate out guests. Some are online shoppers some are not. Some are all mall shoppers and will go to the department stores and some won't step foot in them. So we tried to make it easy as well as find the things we wanted at the best price. So we registered at Marriott (towards our honeymoon- online shoppers), Macy's (traditional folk), Target (for those who won't brave malls) and Crate & Barrel.

It made it almost more difficult for us but I know my guests will appreciate the variety, rather than having to go to lets say Crate and Barrel and having to drive 40 mins away to the nearest one ( as we have guests from all over the U.S.).

I think three... BBB and Macy's as the general registries but FIL's LOVEEE Williams & Sonoma so we'll register there since they've been asking us to.
