how many readings are there

how many readings are there

im having a catholic ceremony in a church. how many readings are there? i want to start thinking about who i want to ask to do them

also... do your readers come the rehersal dinner?

two and there is another reader for something else, but i can't think of the name the prayer of the faithful maybe.

well we are having a full mass and chose 3 readers...2 readings and the prayer of the faithful i think

and we are inviting our readers to our RD

thank you. i thought there were 2 and then the one for the faithful.. that is the one where they mention names of those sick or passed away? is that correct?

yes...the way our priest explained it is that you can do the prayer of the faithful and in general mention those who have passed away...or you can make it more personal and mention actual names of relatives
