We did 3 - Bed, bath and beyond, Fortunoff and Pier 1 for no other reason, but because I wanted to.

I have to say, just from being a registry peeker and recently having my shower, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with BB&B and will be making a formal complaint against them. They do things a$$ backwards, and they really need to figure out their glitches...I wound up getting NONE of my flatware because of their screw ups...

Fortunoff's and Linens N Things. I would say 2-3 is fine. I wouldn't do more than that.

I posted earlier that we registered at only one place - the reason is htat we both have homes, and dishes, and towels, etc.

We registered at Fortunoff for the good stuff only.
If we didn't have a lot of the everyday stuff already, I would have wanted to register at C&B or WS
