just wondering..
Unfortunately we had a few bumps-originally it was 5-6-06 then FHs sister decided to change her date to May 5-6-06 so we changed it to 5-11-07 but we had to deal with some trying issues related to that day this year so we changed it to our date now-and it IS NOT going to change!
We changed ours from 7/30/06 to 5/28/06. This was done because I was teaching when we first set the date. When I found out I would no longer be teaching, I decided that I would rather have the wedding in the spring than in the middle of the summer (hot hot!!). WM had May 28 open, and that was perfect for our Sunday wedding because people would have the next day off!
Never,,,it was the only date our hall had available in October..so we took it (even though we wanted a Saturday night and the date they had available was a Sunday night)
Never. We went looking at places wanting may or june 2006, and so we took June 17 when JT offered it.
not once
never
When we first became engaged we didn't have a clue how to plan a wedding or construct a budget. At first we thought of september, october, november, and even august. But the we decided on Friday October 13th, 06. That would have been the 6th aniversity of my grandmothers death. She was in a lot of pain and I thought that would be a good way to remember her by, but my FH got supersitious on me (friday the 13th), and we had to move the date up a week.
once, b/c it was going to be on my friend's date and she got married 1st!
We originally booked October 16th and booked a few vendors for that date. Then, a few weeks later, my parents' friends mentioned that the weekend of October 16th was the Oyster festival, which attracts thousands and thousands of people to the Oyster Bay area. My parents spoke with someone who had his wedding at the Crescent during the Oyster festival. It took some of their guests a few hours to get out of the area. We didn't want our guests or vendors to have any problems getting to the Crescent or getting home. Luckily September 25th was available, and our vendors were also free that day. I preferred getting married in September, and was glad everything worked out.
we were thinking of a april or may 2007, but never really set a date. we finally booked June 30th 2007. i figured a nice early summer wedding...
Not once - just lucked out I guess...
never changed it. we knew we wanted to get married in february (the month we met, and because it would be a little more cost efficient) and when we sat down with the hall...we said 'later in feb. please' and they obliged. it's been that date, and none other since.
Before we booked, we tossed around three different months to get married in, but once we booked it, it was done. No changing.
The date we picked changes once before we booked and then we booked and it has not changed
I never changed the date. I got the one I wanted.
