Does anyone know? is it like a college course, where you have to complete a certain amount of hours? The parish here in NJ has it on Friday nights, but we're scheduling a class at my school for something else and it might conflict, so I'm wondering how many times we'd actually meet. Supposedly it's on Friday nights, but I haven't heard back from them. How many meetings would there be?

for us it was more.... it was a weekend thing, with sat 9-5, and sunday 8-12 with the mass ending at 1pm
Adding in the mass, that was 13 hours
It wasn't quite as bad as you think, becuase it only consumed one weekend, and then we were done...

I double-checked on my church's web site, and it looks like 6 hours... so if they're two hour sessions, there would be 3 total like you said.
Of course, my one-day session is scheduled for 8 hours...
The weekend retreats are more than the normally required hours for pre cana.
I guess programs vary on the # of hours, but I think 6 is generally normal...

Wish my church's website had this info!! Actually not sure if the church even has a website- looks like only the school does!
Who knows...the total hours here could be very different. Don't know how they do it in Jersey.

Mine was Fri night 6-9, Sat 9-6 (which was my 30th birthday, woohoo! ) and Sun 9 through the 11:30 mass.
Check around to other churches in your area. Every church is different with days and times.

my pre-cana is 6 sessions for about 2 hours each session.

Well we are doing two weekend days 9 am to 4 pm. But at least in our dioscese...if we did a weeke night I believe that it was 4 night for 2 and a half hours a night

i dont even remember....and ive only been married 6 months....how scary is that! lol . . .
I think, the focus was a 2 week thing for 3 hours at a shot Then in precana, we had 7-8 weeks I believe and then i final mass ....
