I plan on staying at work until I give birth. Hopefully I will be able to. This way I have more time after the baby is born.

I stopped going into the office around 37 weeks, but I was set up to work from home so I continued to work and did not have to commute. I still work from home.

I guess its all up to what the dr says about how things are progressing but my commute is rather long i cant see being in labor at work and having to drive myself to the hospital in traffic. i think Im going to go out when dr says labor is soon.

I stopped working at 31 weeks due to preterm labor. I was planning on stopping at 36 weeks.

I stopped working on july 23, 2004 and I was due august 19, 2004. and I haven't been back and wont be either.

That's what I did. I worked up until I had the baby so I could have more time with him before having to go back to work.

I worked right up until I went into labor, I plan on doing the same with this pregnancy. I'd rather save my time to be with the baby rather than sitting at home getting anxious about the delivery, labor, the epidural, the episiotomy, etc.

I will stop at 36 weeks. I get a full 12 weeks after, I saved 2 weeks vacation from last year and I get paid for short term disbility 2 weeks before so I am not wasting my days with the baby. The commute from Long Island to the city is killing me. I also get stuck working late and I can't take it anymore. Thank goodness..4 more weeks to my leave starts. I can concentrate on my niece that is due 3 weeks before my baby and my little bunny!

I am hoping to stop at 36 weeks to. I have to talk to my Dr. I commute too, its too much!
I also get paid 100% before the baby comes and still have my disability after. I should really stop working tomorrow! :)

I just went out on maternity leave on Friday, so it was 36 weeks. I dont plan on going back either, its just way to stressful.

Same here. Water broke at 11:00 p.m. I planned on going to company picnic the day she was born and was disappointed I missed it (they are usually alot of fun ). But it was definitely worth missing it for her

With my daughter I worked until Monday afternoon and she was born on Wednesday. With my son I worked until 2pm and he was born at 10:30pm! I wanted my full 12 weeks with both of them.

Me too. Next time, if there is, I will do the same thing. I'm so glad because I ended up being induced at 41 weeks. I couldn't imagine sitting home, bored, for those last 3 weeks. I think I would have went out of my mind.
