How much

Hi Ladies - I am an 07 bride but I have a quick question - How much sleep did you get the night before your wedding?

three hours I begged my mom to let me sleep in for another hour and she screamed, 'Your the bride you can't!'

Very little. I think I went to bed after midnight, but didn't fall asleep for at least an hour (normal for me) woke around 6, tried to go back to sleep and got up for good at 7.

I intended to get a full night sleep but it didn't work out that way. I spent the night at my parents house and slept in the basement with my brother. We were talking (bonding - lol) till about 2am!!! I had to be up at 6am to get breakfast with my dad and shower b/c my hair and makeup was arriving at 8am.

Long story short, I got about 4-5 hours of sleep.

I definitely think I was one of the very few that got a great nights sleep! I went to bed at 10:30pm and woke up at 8am. I was so well rested. I think I got a good nights sleep because it really didn't hit me that I was getting married until I put on my wedding dress. So I wasn't nervous the night before at all.

hmm...good question. i don't think i went to bed until about 12:00 or 12:30a.m. which sucked cause i had to be up by 4:45 a.m.

my sleepiness didn't really hit me until about 11 pm the nite of the big day, and DH and i crashed at the hotel and SLEPT !

I was too excited to sleep.
I even woke up before the alarm would go off

jumped out of the bed and look at my sister......
'I'm getting married today'

we both just screamed !

You will be fine.....you will not even notice that you are tired. You just float the whole day!

Thanks ladies - I was just curious - I have to be up at 6 am for my wedding - we are having a wedding rehearsal luncheon before the rehearsal instead of a dinner so I can be home and in the bed (hopefully)

I actually got a decent amount....probably 6 - 7 hours....but I get sleepy when I get very excited, so that definately kicked in

Not much. My MOH and I watched the movie Arthur and I may have had to drug myself. Not unlike Ginny in Sixteen Candles before she married the oily bo-hunk.

I didn't sleep a wink the night before the wedding!!!
I got a serious cold 4 days before the wedding, and the night before I still felt like crap and had a serious fever. I booked a suite for my BMs and I, but when everyone else went to bed I went to go hang out with some out of town guests. By the time I got back, there was NO PLACE for me to sleep except on the floor, or in a bed with two other girls. I also realized that I had forgotten pajamas, so I had to sleep in my bathing suit...
IT WAS NOT FUN!!!

Maybe about 5...went to bed around 11 or so...woke up at various points during the night..finally get my a$$ out of bed when my DOC arrived at 9am I remember that day like it was yesterday

I actually had no problem going to sleep that night I was surprised. I had the girls over for pizza and wine then made sure everything was set and ready and passed out around 11. Woke up at 6 to shower and get my hair done

I was surprised I feel asleep as easily as I did. Granted we were running like lunatics that day from the hall to his parents' house to my parents' house & dropping the car off at the hotel & so it was after 11:30 when I got to sleep but I slept until 630. 7 hours...not bad.

I agree - I know I got a good nights sleep but some of my friends got only a couple of hours and they were fine. On your wedding day you will not feel anything except excitement. You will crash at the end of the night but while the party is going on you will be fine.
