that all depends....the only weddings I have been in were my sisters weddings and i was a student at the time so i couldn't give much. to be completely honest.....i am not expecting cash gifts or any registry gifts from my bridal party because they are paying for so much like the shower, bach party, their dresses and shoes, and other little odds and ends for the day of. If they were to give a gift, I would think that it would be significantly smaller than those who were attending the wedding as guests. I feel it in bad form to expect a large gift from them....that said....i would give what you think is best and what you can afford. (since being in the party can make a significant chip in the bank account)

When I was a BM in my best friend's wedding, FH and I gave her and her husband $500. That obviously doesn't include the rest of the money we spent on the wedding between my dress, shoes, hair, makeup, e-party gift, shower gift, and b-party.

i know generally people feel that when you are in the bridal party you should give a bigger gift , but I agree with one of the above posters.. in my opinion you already spent a lot of money being in someone's wedding so I wouldnt give extra just for being in the bridal party i wouldnt give less either. I guess i would give the same that I would give to a regular wedding-- and that would depend on closeness.. i.e. family, vs. friend vs. coworker etc. (granted if you are in the bridal party, you are presumably pretty close-=))

Same here - when I was the MOH for my sister's and when FH was one of the groomsmen at his sister's wedding, we gave 500. Some of the other weddings that FH was in the wedding party, we gave 300 because one of the weddings we had to travel to and had to spend just 650 on the hotel for 2 nights. But you should give how much you can afford - the bride and groom know that the wedding party is already spending a lot of money.
