FH and I met with the Deacon at our parish this week to schedule the ceremony and discuss marriage classes. He told us that the fee for the ceremony was $750, $180 for the organist and the classes were $300. I feel like that is a lot of money! We aren't even having a full ceremony! The fee for the ceremony is supposed to be considered a 'donation' and the Deacon said he'd work with us but I feel like it sacrilegious to bargaining with the church. Does these prices seem reasonable?

$650 includes cantor and organist I believe, pre-cana still not sure what method we're going with...

im not paying anythign for the church since im a member, but all in total it ll be about $500 maybe (pastor, organist, maintenance fee etc)

We're doing full mass ...
$75 for pre-cana (there was a weekend option but it was close to $400 so we did the 6 weeks) $250 donation to the church $250 for music tip altar boys ($10 each) donation to Kellenberg where our priest is from
It can sure add up quick!
