i was just quoted 80 for down and 125 for an updo! is that insane or reasonable?????

I think thats reasonable. I am paying $150 for mine and my BM are paying $100 each but she is coming to the hotel so we don't have to leave which will be nice. Plus she is awesome and does a wonderful job!

I went to a local salon and was charged $75+tip and the BM for half up do's were like $45 & up do's were like $60+tips. Maybe you can go for a hair trial where you normally get your hair cut. Just a thought.

Unfortunately when people hear 'Wedding' their prices go up.

If she's not coming to your house, it's on the expensive side.
I get my hair done for every wedding/function I go to at all different places and that's still on the higher side for an updo.

If she's coming to you, then it's reasonable - but it should be less for the BM's.
If you're going to her, then it's on the high end.
