Hi just wanted to get an idea of how much is too much for invites. I fell in love with one invite but it would cost way too much $1500 for 75. I'm looking at another elegant one that's more affordable but still $600.
Both are letterpressed.

we spent waaaay more that i planned on. but we the invites we decided on we're just perfect for us. about $630 or so--and sadly that was with a 30% discount off the cataloge price.

We just ordered ours yesterday....$600 for 125, no lining on the envelope, printed return address, but no calligraphy-I'll do that myself on the computer as soon as I figure out how!

so far the ones i like are about 300$ for 125...thats w inner liner...colored ink...return addy...response and recp cards

I spent $485 on 175 invitations - this included 2 envelopes, liner, colored ink, and thermography.
My invites were on top notch quality paper - thick and heavy.
My invite lady works out of her home in Western Nassau. She is fabulous if anyone wants her info.

Right now I'm torn between two invites. One would be $250 and the other $750. The more expensive one is soooo pretty, simple and elegant but I don't know if I'm just throwing away money.

I have the same dilemma! $1500 or $500 for two different letterpressed invites. I've heard of ways to cut cost though, like printing it yourself or have a custom designer look into doing a similar design for less. Or just getting invites and printing out the envelopes and response set yourself, so many ideas...

Spent $270 for 100, they werent that important to me- i think i could have gone cheaper. But if invites are important and you absolutely will be disappointed if your dont get them and you can afford them than I say get them.

We are spending a little over $300 for 125 invites with lined envelopes, return address, reception card and response cards. Personally I'd rather not spend too much on invites as I feel they will end up in someones garbage at some point. I can't remember what a single invitation I recieved has looked like. Thats just my opinion.
