thanks to Bonnie, I fouund invitations I LOVE from the white asile, the STD's that match are $2.00 each, I thought I saw somewhere that someone got theirs from BJ's (not sure which discount store) for much less.
$25 plus ink i am making my own STD magnets. I got a roll of magnet from acmoore for $10 paper for $10 at office max and envelopes for $5 at office max!!!

I saw that you can buy plain magnets from Staples and buy the labels and make them yourself they prob wont cost alot. But I dont think I am going to send out any STD's, I mean is that a must that you have to???? I dont know. If I have the time I will make them if not forget it. My whole family and friends already know I am getting married I dont think they need an STD
I wasn't going to but after i booked my RH i realized we are getting married Memorial day weekend. I don't think you have toi send them out unless you are near a holiday

im doing postcards...the first 100 are free on vista print...i forgot how much it was after that...but i dont think itll be too much...then the postage and any extra stuff i add to them.

we're drfinitly sending them, we're actually going to send packets of information, like hotel brochures as well as a newsletter w/ details on the hotels we blocked and a scheule of wedding weekend activities. It's probley going to be sent in a 6x9 envelope

we were debating as paying for our BP's rooms as their gift but decided against it. We're having a smaller intimate wedding, (130 guest max) alot of realitives that live out of state have already expressed to us that they will be there, as well as friends in the city, they were asking if we were blocking rooms, so we decided why not, & we're making it a wedding weekend

we spent $75.00 for 50 magnets- $15.00 for 500 envelopes (so now i have tons of extra for other private notes, etc.) and everything else (two inserts) were done by me at work for free.

Mine were free!!! All I paid for was shipping (which was $4.00!!!)
I got 100 really pretty heavy postcard size/stock from vistaprint.com during Presidents Day sales and they had 100 for free!! They came out AMAZING and I'm going to the craft store to get the magnet sheets to add magnets to the back of them!

No you don't have to do them at all...Infact they say you should send out STD's if you are doing a holiday weekend, a destination wedding or if there are many other events around the time of your wedding. But they have become so popular that most people just do them now.
I am going to do them, but it seems there are alot of weddings around the time we are having ours...Infact theres a couple of us who are having it one weekend after the other lol.
I have no clue yet how much i am paying for std's, haven't looked into this yet and don't know what the prices are for them...I want to use a pic from our e-pics so gotta see how much that would cost.
