Or how much did you spend? Where did you get it?

I am getting my bonus on Monday and want to buy my dress asap before I spend it (although it was half of what I expected)

After tax it came to about $4800.

I can't wait to see what the alterations and bustle will be! Ack! This was about $2K over the budget I was thinking. Good thing I was able to pay off the deposit in full on my credit card.

FYI... if you find a dress you like, get the name and style #. Then contact Phyllis at gownfind.com. She is saving me about 35% on my dress!

this is what I did. My gown would have been over $3000 with alterations at Bridal reflections but Phyllis ordered it for me for $2000! Love it! She saved my bridesmaids almost 80 each on their dresses!

got mine for under $500 from netbride....it was $1300 in the bridal shops!

I'm just happy the dress I liked wasn't a fortune. I am paying for it myself.

I got my Eve of Milady for $2200. It retails for $ 2700. Got to LOVE trunk shows!

Mine is $1000. I wanted to spend under $2000, and I was so glad to find one I loved for so much less.

My father never said no to me either. I wish he could have seen me in my dress. I am sewing his WW2 dog tag on the inside right over my heart - where he will be for the rest of my life.

$1000 and Im proud of it! Im sorry but Im a bargain shopper. I love my dress and since I will wear it only once in my life, Im glad that I didnt spend soooo much on it. Thats just my outlook on this matter.

I would never pay what some are paying for their dresses. I would definitely had it made.

After going to 6 bridal salons and trying on over41 dresses, I fell in love with a Christos Dress at the Wedding Salon in Massapequa. It was 2700 dollars but the 4 month old, like new sample/stock piece fit pretty well and they offered it to me for 1299.00. I totally grabbed it!

oh Yeah, My MOH got married in '02 and she rented everything.
Her wedding gown, reception party dress, Maid of honor gown, groom tux, bestman tux RENTED along with one session of hair and make up for $less than 2grand!!!!!!

Renting is very big now, so many of my clients (I am a travel consultant) are renting either gowns, maids dresses (I might do this as well) and so on.
Best places to go, the Asian salons in Chinatown, Manhattan. Heading there possibly next week.
