How Much are you Spending on Your Wedding Photos? - Long Island Weddings

Ours will be just under 2k when we add in an album That price is for:

1 Photog, 1 Assistant All day coverage literally from the morning getting ready until the last guest leaves he said.
300 4x6 prints
31 enlargements (combo of 5x7s 8x10s and 11x13s)
All Images retouched
Photo CD
Premium 8x10 Album full digital design
75 Thank Yous

We booked him because a friend used him and I saw first hand his work is amazing. He is a little lesser known but that is what keeps his price down, also albums are add ons so we didn't have to worry about paying for one prior to the wedding, and his turn around time for proofs is only 2 weeks! I love that I can get out my thank yous in a timely fashion instead of 6 months later! If anyone wants his info just fm me I am happy to share.

I'm paying $2500 for 2 photographers and 1 videographer all day. It also includes albums etc

FH and I are spending a grand total of $375 on our photos. We are hoping people will bring their own cameras LOL.

Photo and video all day, with albums, thank yous, 12x18 wall print framed, hi res cd, edited images, edited dvds, images posted online, engagement shoot: $4,200...this was with a discount

little over 5g for us. that isn't including video either he's separate. we aren't average though because most people I know did not spend as much! lol.

We are using ADA and paying $2700 for edited proofs full day of coverage with the owner of the company who is well known in the industry. This also includes our video (basic package). No albums. I believe just photo was 1600

Wow!

Just realized more people responded to my post.

I'm glad the articles were helpful for some of you. My FH & I found a photography company that gave us a great package for $2500 which includes: (1) photographer, 8 hours, thank you cards, all images on a disc, an online wedding gallery, a wedding 12x12 wedding album with 100 of our pics and an engagement shoot. We didn't do video yet. We are going back and forth with that idea.

So glad you posted this!! I was wondering the same thing!! I want beautiful photos because that will be what's there to A. show us all that we missed and B. serve as a reminder of all the beautiful memories! But how much is too much? So glad you posted this! Learning so much from all the responses!
