how much are you spending on your wedding ring?

Original post by kimiequa

so i have fallen in love with a ring, and i wanted your opinions. FH expected to pay thousands of dollars, so he thought that this (at 1600) was great.... until we went looking and found a similar (but not nearly as nice) was $300 so now that $1600 is looking expensive

(lol if you can read between the lines, i was looking for you to tell me that $1600 isn't too much to spend)

what are ya'll spending??

we spent about 1200 on mine, but it's made of platnium to match my ering and has diamonds... if i went with something simpler it'd be cheaper

I'm lucky because my grandmother's wedding band is a platinum eternity ring which matches my E-Ring perfectly, so I'm getting that (she passed away when I was 12). My FH's ring, since we spent quite a bit at the jeweler for my x-mas gift and e-ring, was a great deal . . . nice and substantial band, thick enough to take the beating he'll give it, for only $389!!!

as little as i can for the type of ring i want.

i have my grandmothers ring that i can use, which i might use for a fancy ring. but my e-ring is palladium so white gold doesnt match, i hope to get an eternity band in palladium for cheap .. haha ya right. ugh lol

We are budgeting 2500 for both of our bands combined, mine of course will be more expensive because I HAVE to get the matching band. We're hoping that our jeweler will give us a good deal since FH got my ering from him.

Since mine has some large bling to match my
e-ring diamonds on the sides its going to cost about 3 grand. FH wants a more simple band so his is about 1200 NICE!
