it kinda s u c k s becuause i work in a salon and am having the makeup artist and one of the stylist do hair and makeup. the problem is that they are taking off for them to come so i feel like i have to pay them way more to compensate for the lost day of pay i will probably end up spending like $700

honestly, im so worried im going to look like crap and hate all my pics that im willing to spend a little more than i orginally thought

We're going to a salon so it's a lot less money than having someone come into the house. I'm thinking $200 for both

i hate to spend so much on it but i want the best that day so i know its going to run a lot of $$. i already have in mind a few artists that i want trials with and if i did book them they are probably at least $150 each if not more

my regular hairstylist who has been doing my hair for years will be doing it for the wedding. I'm more than sure she is not going to charge me since she has been waiting to see this day. And she will be attending the wedding as well.

makeup is a little different. i've seen some bad makeup jobs and it's really sad because a person will spend over 3k in photography just to have bad make up in all their pics. i am definitely doing my research and will probably have many trials. i have some ideas on who i may use. I do believe that there are affordable artists out there, but i'm willing to pay a little extra if I have to in order get the look i want.

so far i've been getting quotes around 150 for each... i would really like to stay under 300 if i can..

I hope to spend no more than $250 for both, I'm planning on going to a salon the day of and not having someone come to me

It's possible a friend of mine will be doing my makeup (she's a makeup person for chanel or lancome or something) For hair I've got enough time to go to my salon. I'd say no more than 300.00 for both.

the most i would pay would be 300. but my friend whos been doing my hair forever is gonna do my hair and makeup and probably charge me somewhere from 50-100 dollars. and free trials! yay!

are you guys saying 150 for BOTH? i think thats gonna be pretty hard to find...especially if you look at any of the vendors on here. i've been looking recently and most hair is 150 and up for day of not including trials. one company emailed me and it was $450 for hair!!!
make up im seeing prices of 75-200


there is a slon around the block from me in farmingdale that has verrrry reasonable prices... its called ultimate look and i think they were a past vendor on here

I think it depends on what style you plan on doing... Updo's generally are more money than say styles that are halfup or all down. $150 seems sufficant for your hair. I think Makeup can run anywhere between $75-150... But my very good friend is doing my hair and makeup, so I couldn't really tell you what I'm paying, but friends have told me their ballpark prices that they received and it seems that $150 is the fair price. Anything above $150 is a not reasonable.
