How much are your Alterations Costing you?

I am a bit confused with the alterations....
I was at a bridal store yesterday and they were charging over $475 for alterations....

$75 for the Hem
$150 for bringing in the side seam
$250 for the bussle

and God only know what else...

Let me know around how much you are paying... THANKS

my alterations are capped at $65 for the hem and $65 for the bustle

$475 sounds high - can you take it to someone else to do the alterations?

I think $150 for alterations and $75 for the bustle.

They have a cap of $225, so no more than that, I hope!

It wasn't me... My Best Friend is getting married and I was there to pick up my bridesmaid dress and i overheard her.. I don;t think she was expecting it..... I knwo her mother wasn't either....

she got her dress at Wedding Center of Commack...

I think I have a cap of $250 but now I am nervous because I don't remember if that included the bussle.

Mine are capped at $275, which includes the bustle.

I just ordered the dress and i was told the alterations were a seperate charge from the dress and we never got into prices of alterations, bustle and so forth uh ohh I hope it is not too expensive

Less than $100. 40 for hollow to hem (so it is the right length. it is done right at the designers). 15 for cups to be sowen in. 8 a bustel, and like 5 for each side to be taken out if I need it.
