I went looking for dresses with my sister and found these really cute dresses. I didn't even look at the price and now realize that even at the cheaper places in Commack they are $189 (not including alterations of course). Is that too much to ask them to spend? I know people who have gotten dresses that were a lot more, but for all of their weddings, we didn't spend over $140 plus alterations. What do you think? How much do yours cost?

I guess the price wasn't that bad then. I went to look again and found another dress I liked better. Of course it was more expensive but Burton's quoted me $25 less than Wedding Center. I'm excited I found it and I'm getting it for $176

I have 9 girls, and the dresses were originally $185, but they gave them to us for $165 with an $85 alterations cap.

Mine are $150 before alterations. I was stressed about this recently because I think it may be a bit pricey for some of my BM's, but in the grand scheme of things, I think it is a good price. I went to two stores and got the price lowered for them at the second store. I did my best! This is the dress, but it will be in pastel blue with mocha trim.
Mine are $198 plus alterations...They are Vineyard from POB

I decided on a Watters dress because I think it will be more comfortable and look good on all of the girls. Apparently I have no idea how to attach things on this board. Here's the link. I'm doing the sage/almond combination which looks a lot less like seafoam green in person :)
Mine are $170 plus alterations...but I've been in weddings and paid more than that...My goal was to keep it under $200. I say as long as they are under $200 it is reasonable!

The dresses I picked out were $186. My BMs didn't complain too much since the three dresses that were my favorite before that were all over $300.

the dress i am looking at for my BM's average about $135. They are knee length 'party' like dresses so they can wear them again!

Mine are Melissa Sweet and they're about $250. I get 15% off on them since I bought my gown there. I'm buying their dresses for them as a thank you. I thought they were a little too expensive for me to force people to pay for them. Some of my BM have actually refused to let me pay!
