how much are your GM spending on tuxedos?

how much are your GM spending on tuxedos?

We ordered tuxes today and the final price will be $150 per tux, not including a shoe rental. I think there is some kind of preferred customer service they can enroll in and get the tuxes for $130 but does this sound like a lot of $$$ or is this normal?

Ours are paying $160 for everything including shoes. And when they return them after the wedding they'll get $10 back.

Wow...I don't think I realized what a rip off tuxes were going to be. I mean, my girls got a $180 beautiful dress and they get to keep it. Paying that much for a 24 hour rental seems outrageous. Have you shopped around or is this pretty standard?

Tuxes for groomsmen, dads, and grandpas are $150 each. this includes shirts, vests, tuxes and the little details like cufflinks. It also includes shoe rental. It probably would have been slightly lower but they threw in FH's tux free (and he got the most expensive one they offered) + 2 other free tuxes (going toward family members).

$150 seemed a little high to me considering they don't get to keep anything, but I guess it's the going rate for tuxes... and it's nice that FH gets his for free!

I think they will be under $150, but I'm not sure. We have something so we'll get $20 off per tux, and FH's will be free also. Where did you go?

Our tuxes were right around $100 (Maybe 120 ?)

It seems a tiny bit high but if you are happy with it I say go for it.

Guys don't have to buy shoes, purses, get their nails done, hair done, etc. so its fine if its the style you really like. If it is totally just a plain, traditional tux, you might get a better price at Men's Warehouse.

Actually..that's where we went! And we picked the cheapest tuxedo they had. You got yours at mens wearhouse too?

We went to men's wearhouse, it sounds like you did too. The groom's tux was free but we ended up paying for one of his brother's tuxes anyway so it didn't matter but they also get $20 off if they sign up for the preferred customer something or other. Is this where you went as well?

that's exactly what i said to FH. My girls paid less than that and they're able to KEEP their dress. I guess it's the way of the wedding prices, which I have learned is crap!

Yeah, ours are men's warehouse, but we didn't do vests, maybe that is making it cheaper?

Ours could be $150...this is the one and only thing FH is managing, of course I helped him pick it out but he is in charge of the details.

Even $150 is fine I think...boys have it easy, did you know if even comes with socks.....seriously all they have to do is add underware (optional)

Re: how much are your GM spending on tuxedos?

We used Esquire Tuxedos in Merrick. They are apparently an LIW vendor, but my family has used them for numerous occasions. They guy was so so so helpful and friendly and really took his time with us. I'd recommend them

2156 Merrick Road, Merrick
(516) 378-6060

Edit: the best part is, they had a tie that looks amazing with our BM dresses! (i just added a pic to my album)
