I've definitely gone through yet another growth spurt this week and my stomach is huge. But, I've still got three months to go (I'm 27 weeks today). My questions is, do most people put on alot of weight in the 3rd trimester or do the big spurts happen in the 2nd? Someone said to me today, you STILL have three months to go??? I can't imagine my skin stretching much more. Help!

I really didnt get that much bigger in my 3rd trimester, although your belly will drop and you may appear to be bigger. BTW your skin has amazing stretch capacity lol......go load up on the cocoa butter

I personally ballooned in the last trimester. Luckily I didn't have much swelling, but my stomach and butt just kept growing and growing!

i pretty much tapered off in my 3rd trimester. it just felt like i was the blimpe! and dont listen to what people say!!!

My biggest spurts were between 5-6 month and 7-8 months. I didn't gain much in my 8th month. I only had on week in my ninth month since I went early.
Like StayandJohn said - my belly did change in shape and position so sometimes I felt bigger and clothes fit worse even though my weight wasn't going up at all.

I started to show in my 3rd month and I was huge by the end I had gained 48 pounds total
