how much contact have you had with your reception hall??

Since I booked Fox Hollow, I have had no contact with them except to pay the payments through the mail. Im getting married in October, should I be talking to them about food, cake, linens, favors, etc.

Should I call them to make sure everything is on schedule or wait??

any suggestions

I only called mine to ask questions about 3 times in the last 6 months, but mine contacted me yesterday to come in to do the menu today, so im sure they will call you when they need you. If your worried you can always give them a call.

ETA: I think when you go to pick your menu, thats when they ask about all the linens and things. We did all that today.

Hi, I am getting married at the Watermill in the beginning of November. You still have time. About 6 weeks before is when they will want you to go over menu choices, linens, and all the final details. If it will make you feel any more relaxed you should just 'pop in' one day and look at your room and just say your there to peek around to refresh your memory. Ask to speak with a BM, I have a bunch of times! I have spoken with my BM like a dozen times on the phone and in person with all my silly questions.
Naturally, as brides-to-be we just worry about everything, right? LOL Best of luck!

Not much. I have gone a few times to see it when they were setting up for another wedding, and a few times I have called with questions.

I called a couple weeks ago and asked when our tasting would be, so he set it up since we were on the phone. It's in mid-july. Other than the few questions, I have asked - I guess all of the big ones will be answered at the tasting.

I have not had contact with them either. We have gotten bills in the mail and letters from perfect wedding planners, but we didnt need to meet with them because we used others for invites and everything. I am still waiting to make an appointment for menus.

None what so ever until they called to pick out the linens and menu which is about 6 weeks before the wedding.

fox hollow usually does that stuff at the 1 month mark but i wanted it done sooner and they had no problems doing it at the 2 month mark. i've actually gone in several times to discuss any questions that i had (i'd suggest writing a list and adding to it every time u think of another q.)

I haven't had any with the Watermill unless I contacted them with a question. My mom mailed the deposits in the beginning and nothing has come since. I am sure we will hear in sept or oct of when to come in.
