Photographer we left $275 (which was 10%) but another $275 was due a month later. Our next payment is not due until around September.
For DJ we left $1000 which was a little more than 25%.

I didn't even realize that! Yeay!
For photog we are using Duet Photographers and for DJ we are using LI Sound. I'm not sure if either of them are preferred vendors.

photo and video were 500 each, i believe our dj was $250? i have to check for sure but i remember it wasn't alot

For photography we had to leave a 30% deposit. For dj, I believe it was $100

We had to give photog 10% upfront, additional 10% a month later, then 30 or 40% on December 31, 2010, then 20% day of and 10% when pick up proofs. I think that's how it went.
We booked a band which cost $7K - they wanted $850 upfront, $850 2 months later, and balance the day of.
