Re: How much did you budget for...
I spent about $100 on each of my 4 girls, I paid for their hair & makeup to be done. Since I used to be hairdresser & still do thier hair for most big events, I knew I would be sort of busy that day
, so I figured what better for them!

Re: How much did you budget for...
Budget, what is that
I got each of my girls a Gap robe, having it monogrammed, bath fizz, scrubbie thing, and a Yankee Candle. Plus I am probably going to get them an inexpensive pair of silver earrings to wear. All in all it comes to almost $80 each. I have 8 girls so I couldn't do as much as I would have liked to do.

Re: How much did you budget for...
I'm figuring about $75. I'm having their BM jewelry made by a friend who makes bead/crystal jewelry.I was going to pay for their makeup, but I have a feeling we wont be getting ready together, so that makes it difficult I think.
We'll hopefully go out to a nice lunch where I can give them their gifts.

Re: How much did you budget for...
I'm spending about $300-$350 on each of my 5 girls.I have a Jr. BM who I'll spend about $75 on and 2 FGs on whom I'm spending about $40 each.
I never really set a 'budget' for them. I just knew that I wanted to get them something really nice and unexpected and that's how it worked out.
It was what I was comfortable with, but I think that the dollar amount will vary from bride to bride and you should spend what you can comfortably afford.

Re: How much did you budget for...
I agree with susans...you should spend what you are comfortable spending, and I'm sure your girls will not look at your gifts and think about what you spent on them. I have 9 girls, and paying for the wedding and saving for a house. I love them all dearly - and appreciate everything that they are doing, but I definitely have to set limits on what I spend. I think it's more important to think about what you give, and if you think they will enjoy it, see how you can make it fit in your budget. Much easier said than done, of course, being that I'm racking my brain about what to give everyone!!

Re: How much did you budget for...
I never set a budge, but Im getting them each the jewelry for the wedding (probably sterling silver w/CZ)Then I'm getting them each a basket full of gifts that will be different for each. I haven't decided exactly what yet, but I know a mini perfume of their favorite, and candles will be in each one.

Re: How much did you budget for...
If you include the 'other' stuff along with their gift - somewhere between $200-300 for each member. So a total of about $1600.

Re: How much did you budget for...
I bugeted about $50 for BMs and Ushers and a little for MOH and Best Man. I started buying my gifts and here is what I brought so far:Best Man - money clip with initials and a beer mug that says 'Best Man'
Ushers - money clip with their initials on them and for younger ones (ages: 16 and 19) keychains with their initials on them
MOH - MOH hankie and I am going to buy her jewerly (probably a whole set - bracelet, necklace and earrings). My MOH is my sister
BMs - BM hankie and jewerly (probably a bracelet and necklace)

Re: How much did you budget for...
Don't feel that you have to blow your budget just because others are able to spend more. Think about your special relationship with each one, and focus on a gift that fits their personality. My MOH collects wine goblets, so I spent about $40 on a handblown glass wine goblet and $15 on a vintage Barbie Doll reproduction wearing the outfit that her Barbie always wanted to borrow from my Barbie when we were kids. She wouldn't let go of it the rest of the night.
Another BM has photos all over the house, so I found a very special polished pewter frame and gave her that with a promise of a picture of her and her husband from the wedding.
The other BM always has fresh flowers in her home - long stem tulips, gladiolas, etc. I found a beautiful crysyal vase on sale at Macy's. Little did I know that her favorite large vase had broken not to long before!
And there is always the 'handmade' option. If you have the time and skills could you:
Start a special scrapbook that they could fill in with pictures?
Go to one of those 'paint your own' ceramic places and make a set of plates or mugs or a vase?
Sew somthing like a special beaded handbag?
If you're not handy, watch for something nice at a craft fair. I got a very nice glass perfume bottle as a BM gift once and I'm sure it was not outrageously priced.
Just don't feel like you have to blow the budget - you can still do something nice for less.
