How much did you guys spend on gifts for your parents??

I was thinking of spending $300 on each-- but, we have three sets of parents.. this normal??

Since we were paying for a big portion of the wedding, and we both lost our jobs, we didn't spend that much. I guess less than $100. That was for picture frames and stuff. But both sets of parents are getting a photo album of the wedding and a copy of the DVD from the wedding. I guess all together it was around $250

My dad died a long time ago, so I only had one gift to give... to my mom. And I spent $150 on this:


It has meaning to me, because I've never lived on my own... so after marrying, I took my first 'baby' steps in my life without her.

$350 each.

I got them theater tickets $150 per person and each set of parents got a $50 gc to Carmines (the Restaurant)

Cost shouldn't be an option. Its what you feel in your heart.

My daughter was recently married, and at her RD she gave me a photo album that she created and purchased from shutterfly. It contains pictures of me and her through her years gowing up, followed by a couple of empty pages for wedding photos, which these empty pages stated what photos are to go there.

The first page of the book had the most beautiful poem I've ever read. I don't have to tell you how I sobbed reading it. Then while gazing at all the photos, my tears of joy became tears of laughter. But all good laughs.

I wouldn't care if she spent mega $$'s on me or $.01, the thought that went into it was worth any amount. Its 'priceless'

We couldn't afford that much and our paren's would have been pissed if we had spent too much. Plus we paid for the majority of the wedding ourselves. WE spent about $75/per couple, but we had 3 sets of paretns to buy for my mom and stepdad, dad and stepmom, and his parents.

We are giving them each (We have 3 sets too) the Parent Albums and Videos.

At RD we are giving them a silver photo album with a picture from our engagemnent shoot in the cover. For the rest inside the book we will let them choose whatever amatuer pics we get or photos from the Table cameras.
