How Much Did You Pay for your Rehearsal Dinner PP?
How much did you pay per person for your rehearsal dinner pp? FH and I are having some disagreements. I've called a bunch of places and he thinks the quotes are too high for a rehearsal dinner.
Please post the price before tax and tip (and alcohol!)

32 pp and then the drink package adds another 12 PP (unlimited Beer, WIne and Soda)....so I guess $44PP

$24 pp. doesnt include alcohol. we are bringing our own wine (the crowd is a wine crowd) with a corkage fee of $10 a bottle.
i was looking for a while and i think the average is between 25-40 pp. JMO.
ETA- the $24 pp includes soda

we're having our RD at the hotel where our OOT will be staying... I worked out a deal for 40pp, including beer, wine and soda (before tax and gratuity). If you're having it on a Friday or Saturday, explain to your FH that it will be hard to get a cheap rate because chances are restaurants would be taking in that business anyway. You can try a Chinese buffet for cheap, but that may not be a good idea for you to eat chinese the night before your wedding (chinese food = retain water... advice from my SIL, who mistakenly did that for her wedding!).
If your hotel has a restaurant, try them... maybe they'll work out a good deal with you since you're giving them so much business with the rooms!

Thanks for your feedback! I think FH was expecting to find prices to be $20 pp max at some of the places I have been calling!
ETA: It just bugs me because his parents invited the whole freaking world to our wedding, my parents want to invite my aunts and uncles that I see a lot to the rehearsal dinner and he has a problem with spending all of that extra money on top of the wedding.
I think I might just talk to his parents directly. I spoke with his mom but, I think I need to speak with FFIL as well.

$40 pp for beer, wine and soda. plus cake. my fil's are paying but fh and i chose the place. its a little on the pricey side, but close to the church and the food is sooo good

Ours was really inexpensive-- 25 pp including beer wine and soda unlimited. Plus there are four courses and the place is really cute, except that they are undergoing major renovations that may or may not be done before our RD . (It will still be open though) It is Villa D'Avanzo in Amityville

Thanks for all of your feedback! I appreciate it! I just called FH to tell him that I got all of this great information but, he's in the hospital, he burned his ears (hopefully just sunburn, he's in the FDNY) so he can't talk on the phone. Now I'm all worried about that (he sounded ok though at least).
