How much did you spend for invitations?

Hi everyone, as you know, I'm on the hunt, but I went to a shop yesterday and everything I liked was over $1000. I cannot see myself spending this much for classy invitations.
I just wanted an idea what the going prices are. If you guys don't mind telling me how much you've spent, or are planning to spend, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks
Liz

Re: How much did you spend for invitations?

$600 for Elite Fine Paper Invites. I got a traditional ecru card style invite, but I wanted our monogram blind embossed on the top of the invite and all of the cheaper invites in all those books you see didn't offer that option in a nice classy way....so I splurged on invites a little. I only needed 75 invites.

Re: How much did you spend for invitations?

Liz I spent a grand total of $197 something that is not including calligraphy and postage so if we calculate everything it would be roughly about $300...

Re: How much did you spend for invitations?

Our invites were ordered thru our photographer. We used our engagement pix as part of our invites. It was a b&w pix of us then there was a vellum with our wording over it. Very nice.

Re: How much did you spend for invitations?

We spent about $700.00. We got letterpress invites from a small company in Sonoma, Calif. We absolutely love ours.
If you're looking for letterpress, I recommend using who we used. We looked at several letterpress companies at Kate's in NYC and they were $1200.00

We used:

Re: How much did you spend for invitations?

Try Write Impressions in Merrick...they have some beautiful invites that are reasonably priced.

I chose a very expensive paper from William Arthur, and my invites cost between $900-$1000 without postage, of course.

Re: How much did you spend for invitations?

We spent about $300 for the invites themselves, and then add on postage. That's for 150 invitations (of which I needed about 130!)

We spent about $550 for a set of 150... They were heavy card stock and did not have to be folder! This cost included thank you notes. We spent an additional $125 on postage.

Re: How much did you spend for invitations?

i fell in love with an encore invitation that wasnt that expensive, and another one which I am keeping my eye on that was about $425. It depends on how much over my budget I go. the key s the budget.
