How much did you spend on E-party?

Just trying to get an idea of how much everyone is spending on theyre e-party. Also what kind of place did you have it at and how many people? I saw a thread like this on the 09 board and it was helpful just trying to get ideas bc I apparently pick the most expencive places and i'm tying to find somthing to better fit my budget. This is an on going nightmare trying to find a place

we wound up spending around 600 for it, but we didnt have a photographer or a DJ. We just had dinner with family and close friends at a restaurant, and it worked well for us.

How is it going finding a place?

We are probably spending $3k, no dj or photographer. Its at a vineyard out east. The venue wasn't that badly priced, it was $1000. Then once you add in catering, invitations, favors, beer, etc. It added up.

I also looked into Snapper Inn in Oakdale, they had a great lunch for like $20 a pp, I think. Also Bagel Biz in Hauppauge does this BBQ for like $15 pp and they come and set up at the location for 8hrs and keep serving food. I did it for my graduation, its a lot of fun and kind of a different twist to a bbq.

If FH's parents weren't paying I would have ended up in my parents backyard which is what I had intended and would have been fun too.

Snapper Inn seems nice its just once you add the alcohol the price sky rockets then the 20% and tax UGH I i'm trying to stay at aprom $36 pp with alcohol. If that is possible which its seeming not to be. So far Shandon Court seems to be my best choice but even that is more then we want to spend. But thats $46 pp with open bar and a buffett. I want to have a DJ. I even cut my list and I feel like the more I cut my list the higher the cost of these places get.

Are u set on having it out? Or would u consider having it at a parents/friends house? What about sunken meadow pavillion?

Just thought of something, how about just beer & wine instead of having an open bar? That might save some money. Smithown Landing is usually pretty fair, not sure though.
