haven't seen this yet. how much did you spend on your dress? none of my friends are married, the only people I know who have been married that had an actual dress was in the 80s! trying to see the average price a girl might spend on her dress.

I spent 600 on the dress itself but with taxes was like 650. I dont know how much alterations will be because it fits pretty well-they just need to pad it. Alerations where I bought the dress (RK BRIDAL) cap off at $350.

I ordered a Maggie Sottero and got it for 775. 100 more ifI wanted the cap sleeves
Here is one of the threads. Fabric has a lot to do with prices, as does detail. Mine has a lace overlay and it is alecon lace so it was pricier for the simple silhouette then let's say, a far more elaborate Maggie Sottero gown, but still more affordable then designer brands. I have seen variations of my dress and ones that are THE EXACT SAME DRESS but by bigger name designers for 3x what I paid.

there is such a huge range when it comes to wedding dresses! some people spend a few hundred, others a few thousand... it really depends!

they really range - you can find gorgeous dresses for any budget! Buy something that's in your budget - you wear it for eight or so hours and then tuck it neatly away for the rest of your life.
That being said - my dress and veil were $800 - custom made.

I was planning to spend around $1,500, but fell in love with a Maggie that was about $900 with taxes. Alterations NOT included in that figure.
