I am starting to look for a dress. I just want to see how much people spent on their dress, Thanks for any help

$2700 which includes alterations but not the bustle.

ETA: I bought a sample, the original price was $5400

got mine at the Priscilla of Boston sample sale last week! $725 before alterations.

I highly doubt it.... Both of my friend got married at different times... (( one in 2007 and one in 2008)) and they were able to get dresses @ David's Bridal for $350- 400.

Also, Mary's Bridal is great! .. I havent purchase my dress yet but many of my friends are married and you should be fine.. just start looking early - thats all .

Mine was about $3400 (this includes alterations...and I also added crystals to the dress)

My strapless Eve of Milady ballgown was priced approx. 2k. I got a replica made for under $500 by a custom tailor and saved a lot to pay for other cost in my wedding. The other dress I changed into for the reception, a buttecream strapless sheath dress was by Isaac Mizrahi for less than $100. For both dresses, alterations came out to about $150. I can't imagine forking over 1k for a dress worn for a day.

My dress is an Oleg Cassini from David's Bridal. It was originally $1,050 but I went when they were having a sale and I got it for $850. I don't think you'll have a hard time finding a dress for $750.
