mine was 1700 but its a custom design being made for me by the designer and then being shipped from california

Paid $1400 for mine not including alterations. I wanted to get a dress for less but fell in love with the one I bought. I tried on many beautiful dresses for under $1000

those on a budget might want to check out Estelle's bridal dept. dresses start at about $400 and there are quite a few under $800.

I originally budgeted about $2000. Oddly enough, I went to David's Bridal on my first day looking for a dress. I didn't think I was going to find anything there. I had the sales person grab a few. On the third dress, I found the one. There were tears from everyone that were there and I knew it, I had found the one. I never thought I would get from David's Bridal, out of all places.
It was 600 during their sale. I can now spend more money while vacationing in Spain.

My budget was between $1,000 and $1,500. The dress was $1,400 without alterations. I bought it at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue.

My dress was around $700.00 with tax. I went to the Nicole Miller store in Soho and had a wonderful experience there. I was really surprised that my dress needed absolutely no alterations when it came in. So now I can justify splurging on my wedding shoes. LOL.

my budget was also $1500 and I ended up finding one I LOVED for $650 after trying on over 100 dresses ranging in price from $500 to $5000. it's crazy how much is out there...

I ordered a Maggie Sottero from RK Bridal - with alterations max it will be $1400 (with my veil) not including the undergarments.

I went cheap on veil, jewelry, and shoes.
oh and I plan on selling first dress and using second for TTD

I found mine on a discontinued rack for $199 (not incl. alterations, obviously). I lucked out big time.

Mine was $2,800 from Kleinfelds. It's an Augusta Jones dress. The alterations were an additional $675 about (i'm having things changed on it - norm their alterations are slightly under 600 but the bustle is included in that price as well). It might even be more than that for the alterations.. because we will most likely add crystals as well. Then add whatever the taxes came to.
So all in all... it's between $3500 and $4000. And that's just the dress... then there's veil and all that other stuff. AHHH weddings ARE insane!!! I still think of my dress as costing $2800 though... so this post made me realize just how much I spend on it in total!!

since my moh/sis offered to buy me the gown we had no set budget. she just had me try on gowns and we both fell in love with one. it was $1500 at one store. we found another store that was willing to sell it for $1100. just to for fun i tried on some more gowns. turns out i found 'the one' it was imo way better than the other. best part is with tax the gown was $980

my dress is a maggie sottero & when all is said & done will be around $2k. this includes alterations, additions to my dress, slip, bustle, veil & a head band.
