I have not bought mine yet but it's suggested price is $1842. I have found 2 places though that brought it down to $1675

Mine was $1400 for the dress, $1800 after tax and alterations and such.

It retailed at $1900 - I bargained it down to $1400, no tax, free hollow-to-hem, $250 alterations cap. Boo-yah!

too much! I didn't want to spend over $1000, and my dress was $2482!
My mom paid for it, but I still didn't want her to spend that much.

So far, before any alterations, I got my dress for $598. I was planning to spend more, but I decided to try David's Bridal first, and if I didn't find something I absolutely loved I'd go some where else. But I fell in love with the 5th dress I tried on and would have paid twice as much for it.

my dress was expensive....my mom payed about 4000 for it. She knew it was exactly what I wanted and every dress id look at after just wouldnt be the same, so she insisted on buying it for me. I wasnt gonna argue w/ her, haha

I think it was like $439 for my American gown.

The Indian one...plus the jewelry...that shiz clocks in at more money than I'm comfortable with.

$650 at David's Bridal It was on sale originally $1050.

My mom bought me my dream dress which was a Kenneth Pool

Technically I didn't spend the $ but it was almost 6K.

Got my dress at David's Bridal on sale for $850. But I also bought an Indian outfit for the reception; so the money I saved on the wedding dress went to the Indian outfit which was almost $2,000.

I got mine for free, but it would have been $1200. I am not 100% done looking yet. I want to make sure I have THE dress.

$200 on alterations

$98 for my veil

borrowed my DOJ from my step mom as my 'something borrowed'

At $30, my garter cost me 1/5 of my dress! lol

My goal was to have as 'green' a wedding as possible, so for me part of that was not buying a new dress. I sometimes still feel sad about never having gone dress shopping with family and friends, but I love my dress and think it was worthwhile in the end.
