how much do i give for a wedding im going to tomorrow

dh and i are to a girl that he works with wedding tomorrow it starts at 11:00 for the ceremony and the reception is after that. its at leonards. they didnt come to our wedding and they are not really close friends. im usually good at this but i have no clue how much to give

Really good friends? I mean, I guess it depends on your financial situation, but if they were my really good friends, probably like 300. That is me, personally. But I think any amount that you were to give that was good for you and DH would be fine.

im a jerk lol there not really good friends of dh but he always feels bad when people from work invite him to things.

i was thinking about 150 for a daytime wedding but my mom says im cheap but i was married on a friday night and some people gave me that and some gave me less

I think that's more than enough. To be honest, I say 200, but hell, my hand would be dealing out the 150, especially now

i know i use to be a lot more generous before i bought my house lol. know im afraid im going to start to squeek a lil i might have to buy an oil can like the tin man from the wizard of oz lol.

Oh please, I'm going to rename myself Cheapy McCheap! I have zero money to spend and yet, I still bought a truck today! I don't know how we are supposed to be living, saving for a wedding, saving for a house AND going to like 40 million weddings in the next few months!

I think $150 is fine. Your not that close to the people and you just bought a house. You can only give as much as you can afford!!!!

well, if it's an afternoon wedding at Leonards, the $150 may cover your plates, but not if they've added on a bunch of stuff.

Normally, I'd say to go with $200, but if they knew your DH when you got married and didn't even give a small gift then the $150 is fine...

they were invited and didnt come my dh thought it would seem spiteful if we didnt go so we are. they didnt send a gift. my cousin is getting married next year at leonards in nov on a sunday and i know what she is paying and 150 will be fine
